Andon Ryokan: modern hotel in tradtionele Japanese style: beautiful architecture. At night Andon (literally lantern) literally lights up.

Ryokan Sawanoya: friendly ryokan welcoming western guests for decades. The owner, Isao Sawa, wrote an interesting book about his experiences.
